My players wanted it's UO support capabilities, lack of Razor support was their main reason for not using the LUO launcher.
Razor also handles decryption so LUOGo could just pass it the connection info and patched files path as other launchers have done, if that makes it easier.
Sorry if this is a sore topic or anything, I tried to search for it but it came back as too common a search term.
Originally i had thought to add support for razor for the launcher but at the time i knew Jeff was working on the new version of connectUO and i hadn't had time to contact Zippy about doing that to it.
LUOGo was based on alot of other client launcher code and apps that was already relase at the time (UORice, UOCH and others). All i did was to convert alot of C++ code and ideas into my own C# application which was intended to work along side the ListUO site, mainly for launching UO off shards on this website.
There were plans in the pipe line to create a new version of the LUOGo app with a few newer ideas etc etc but as ever RL got in the way and development stopped, it never got finished. One of the reasons was also a couple of problems i encountered trying to get the application working on Vista which i don't have installed or use.
I still have all of the source code here but i just don't have a great deal of time to spend working on it at the moment but i do still want to finish it, as well as update alot of the website at the same time.
The way things work with LUOGo and Razor are slightly different so there will be some issues i'd have to figure out first in order to make it support Razor but it's doable, problem i have right now is time.
There will be a new release at some point but as for when i wouldn't like to commit myself to saying a date and let people down so until i know myself i can't really say.
Sorry if this don't help but thats the state of things at the moment.
